Can anyone recommend a place to replace the windshield on the FJC? A rock on the interstate hit it and now there is an eight inch crack.

Thanks.

We had the 100 windshield replaced by Raleigh Glass and they did a good job fixing a botched windshield by the previous owner. Used PPG glass and new OEM seal(s) from Fred Anderson. Trim is probably not needed, but definitely get the Toyota seals. You can always buy the trim and return it if you don't use it.

When I had my windshield replaced (safelite) they just pulled off the trim piece and chunked it and put a new one up there - no difference in price (since it was insurance replaced).

Only issue I had when they replaced it is that is is not absolutely perfect (it's a stick on) - the angle is off by just a hair, but only I (and Greg) would notice it.

Actually the upper trim piece is clipped in place. If they're not careful, they break the clips and you have to toss the piece. Its something north of $300 from Toyota.

I guess I need to make sure that I tell the outfit that mine is a TT so the trim piece is sandstorm versus white for most others.

I had mine done last year by Safelite also. The glass was PPG. They didn't even try to get the trim strip off without damaging it, just tossed it and replaced it with a new one. They had to came back a week later to fix a small leak and had to replace the trim strip again. Expensive mistake on their part.
