Hi folks. I need to change the windscreen on my VDJ79, as the one currently installed is peppered with stone chips. I have a new genuine seal and screen but just wondering if there is a guide to fitting the new one? I believe they are fitted with the rubber seal but also with sealant? I can see excess sealant on the current one that has squeezed out and its a bit messy, something I'd like to avoid.

Removing the windscreen should be easy enough unless I'm missing something? That's quite possible as I've never had to do that before so any help would be great.

To remove one you just push it out with 2 feet or 4 feet even better.
Lots of videos on youtube
You can trim the sealant back with a razor when it has set.

I'll check out youtube, cheers. Any special tools required to fit the new one?

Ive only done 2 and they were years ago. No special tools that I can recall. There is probably some directions in the body chassis manual also.
