In case anyone is thinking about getting window tint for their vehicle, but aren't sure because of how it might look or how dark it may be, I've attached some photos for reference.

I have an 02 LX and I recently had my windows tinted. I went with 20% on the front, 20% on the rear, and a 20% windshield strip.

I always get my windows tinted because I feel it helps with keeping the car cooler when the sun is out, not to mention I like the way it looks.

I'm assuming that everything but the front windows were already factory tinted - so is that 20% "smoke" tint over the factory "bronze" tint? It definitely makes the rear look more black. Looks clean.

Love it. Getting this done this week, the PO had the fronts done to the best of their ability, but it has never looked good and or matched, and the bronze tint makes these trucks look so dated!

Little dark for me, but looks good. I was going to go that route, but the bronze viper ceramic worked out on just the front two on mine.

I like my back window at 5%. All others at 20 over factory tint. 50% on the entire front windshield. Perfect for me.

Sure. But I doubt it will show up. Recently, my daughter was riding with me and asked when I was going to tint the front window. It had been tinted for weeks. 50 gives you all the benefits of tint (glare reduction, heat reduction, etc) without it being overly dark. There is also a clear tint if you want the benefits with no color.

I will try to take it so that it has part of the front window and the driver door with window down to show the difference.

I've had 20% on my last two trucks (last was an FJ Cruiser) and it seems to match the rear OE tint pretty well. I LOVE it in the daylight and tolerate it at night. Backing out of unfamiliar driveways, etc. requires an added bit of caution

@bozncsurf - Yea, the factory tint is underneath the new tint. It makes the mirrored factory tint look much better. I've always thought that the older factory mirrored tint from Lexus looked kind of odd, and when I got one of these LX's for myself, I wasn't sure how new tint would look on top of it, but it turned out ok. It makes the black color of the truck look more black to me.

The coolness factor is a big one though for me. Having the vehicle for about 5 weeks without tint was miserable. Then once I got the tints put on, I was like, "Oh yea, that's why it was so friggin hot". It makes a pretty big difference

Here are two pics to show the 50 on the windshield.

5% in the back and 50% up front. Wish I could do 5% all around but I'd be pushing my luck in CA. Helps a ton with the heat out here and I really like the added privacy (you can't see who's sitting in the back or what I have back there, even up close). I think it looks better too.

I'm coming from a Jet Black BMW M5 with 3M Colorstable 20% all around except windshield. Tint is something I can't live without. Not only does the car stay much cooler and provide a much needed privacy, but it makes the exterior POP. By not being able to see the inside of the vehicle the curves and lines of the vehicle come to the forefront and it makes a great looking truck look even better. My Blizzard Pearl has factory tint in the rear and 50% up front. Thank you to everyone who posted in this thread, I'll definitely be going darker soon.

One thing to keep in mind about windshield tint, if you were to get in an accident I can see it possibly becoming a problem with the insurance company. In NJ you can't have any tint on the windshield or front windows at ALL so I skip the windshield.
