Does anyone have a video or at least timed their power windows going up and down? I am starting to think all 4 of my windows are showing it's age. But then again, maybe it because it's just it is that way whereas newer cars has their windows going up and down fast.

My window going down from top to bottom is around 5-6 seconds. My other two cars less than 3 seconds.

The motors do not run slower due to age,
But maybe you need to “lubricate” the rubber trace that the windows run in. The rubber gets old and won’t be as smooth anymore. You should be able to hear if the motor is working hard to get the windows up/down. I used dry silicone that I sprayed into the rubber trace, that really did the trick for me

Any shot you have some pics of this? Both of my 100's have somewhat slow drivers windows. The rest are ok.

Here is the video you requested. Can we post videos directly to this website without using the Youtube? I tried the direct method and no way to upload.

80-series guys have been all through this. Take a look on that forum too. When mine were slow I replaced the runners, lubed the regulator, and disassembled the motor, cleaned and lubed. That helped a lot !!

you probably want to differentiate with or without engine running as in 14.4 vs 12.6V

Do you just spray that 3M lube down into the window track? Is there anything more to it?
Roll down the window and just spray the inside of the rubber track up and down in each side of the window. Roll the window up again, roll down and repeat a second time – it’s not greasy in any way. Before I sprayed I did buy new rubber tracks, but just wanted to test and try with the spray first. It has now been working for more than a year now, and I still have the new rubber track laying in my garage.

That video shows fast windows. Wow. Mine are way slower

the windows on my 2002 are about the same as the video posted. :princess: 2013 prius windows are blindingly fast - like 2x as fast.

My back passenger window literally takes 10-15 seconds to go up. I blame my dog's drool!

But then again, dogs are way less hard on the back seat area than kids!

My rears were almost stopping, I took a butter knife, put a bit of an old t-shirt over the end and dipped in alcohol and cleaned up the rubber at the base of the window. They were extremely full of crud and this has helped mine after they were cleaned up. Gonna try the side tracks now.

All my windows are pretty dang awful. And on top of that my driver window howls like a banshee every time I roll it up. And it's a long, slow howl so everybody knows who is rolling their window up.
