Shop has an FJ60 window motor and I was wondering if it would fit a 91' land cruiser bult in 6/91. The 91's had a split in the year and some of the car was changed IE--the window motor. Would anyone know if I could use an FJ60 motor for my 91'

Oh and the motor is on the driver's side front.

Thanks,
Nick

I'd imagine it would be the same, but you'd have to just try it to find out.

Oh, you sure it's not an FJ62? FJ60's never had power windows in the States, to my knowledge.

yeah, I called Toyota and the part numbers are different. My Land Cruiser was made 6/91, it has the automatic window for the driver's side did the FJ60's come with that? I'm trying to not have to buy a new motor, my mechanics already have one for an FJ62. So I'm hoping this motor would work but I'm trying not to pay for an hour of labor to find out it doesn't work.

I just looked on car-part.com

Looks like there are three salvage yards in Texas that list the DS window motor, one is off a 94 at Capital City Auto Parts in Austin. 1-800-252-7045 I'm assuming a 94 is the same as yours because I entered '91 and it came up too.

you cant take a back 80 motor and use it in the front, also I recall can't swap left to right. 62 motor is not the same as a 80. 60s in the US did not have a power window option.

however you "might" be able to rob the parts off the 62 motor to use on the 80 motor, depending on whats busted. or spring for the $150ish for a new OEM motor, or find a used 80 motor.

Nix99(toyota parts yard) is Seattle has a buttload of 80's and they are good to deal with

Yeah a new motor from toyota for my 80 was $250...I bought a new upgraded motor from cruiserparts for 120.
