window moldings

I am going to have my Fj40 painted soon and plan to pull the 40 year old window moldings. For those who have replaced the rubber molding, are you just getting universal molding?

if you are talking hardtop, I just did mine with jc whitney molding without the lockstrip. My son did his with generic auto swap meet molding with lock strip. Both worked fine, but I think mine looks a little better.

Thanks. That is exactly what I was looking for. I just wanted to make sure the lock strip generic would work. I will get JC Whitney's.

i did mine with ome moldings from man-a-fre they were alittle pricey but well worth it really sealed the door up tight and look good
