If I put the roller fairlead on my bumper the way it's set up, the fairlead ends up very high. The rope will have to go up and above the lower roller, a little bit (1/2" maybe) at the innermost layer but a lot on the outside layer (maybe up at 45deg or so before hitting the roller and coming out). So it will be "bent" a lot while winching, at least when it's not payed out all the way. And even more so if the vehicle is nose up. Doesn't seem very good, both for rope and forces on the fairlead. Is this critical and/or likely to lead to earlier failure of the rope? How important is it that the winch and fairlead be aligned as best as they can be (and what would that be)?
