Support longtime friend and club member Darryl Maunu's Family

Cascade Cruisers is proud to help organize a fundraiser in memory of our great friend Darryl Maunu. Darryl lost his battle with Stage IV Lung and Bone cancer on April, 11th 2020 .

Darryl was a fixture in the Pacific Northwest four wheel drive community for over 40 years, including several offroad organizations going all the way back to Push and Pulls out of Scappoose in the 70's. He later went on to found Our Gang Offroad and be involved with several other 4 wheel drive organizations in the Portland metro area. Darryl was the longest standing member of Cascade Cruisers.

Darryl retired in June of 2019 leaving behind his business, NW Off Road, to take care of his elderly father and his fathers 40 acre farm. Darryl always volunteered to help anyone that needed a hand with almost anything. He built countless wheelchair ramps, cleaned gutters, replaced broken locks, windows and broken steps, and asked for nothing in return.

Darryl has a wonderful family in his wife Mary, who he has known since they were 15 years old. He and Mary have 4 kids - Steve, Kenny, Chris and Becky - and 7 grandkids - 4 girls and 3 boys.

We, as a club, had planned to hold a much larger fundraiser with the winch as a grand prize earlier last year. Then Covid happened. It is our sincerest hope that even though some time has passed, that Darryl's memory is as strong as ever. All funds will go to help Mary and the family with Darryl's estate.

*** Prize will be available for local pick up in the PDX metro area. Other arrangements must be made with Cascade Cruisers directly if local pick up is not available. ***

This is pickup only. I'm assuming it'll be in Portland. Any chance of them holding it till someone from SO Oregon gets up there if they win?
Of course! We will do whatever we can to help with getting the winch to the winner.
