Winch control box in engine bay

Hello all, I've just fit a winch to my HJ47.
I want to mount the control box in the engine bay, but there isn't a lot of room. Just wondering what everyone else has done.

Mine has been here for 10 years.........to the right of the radiator

Is that tacked on to the battery tray, or to the inner guard? I might have to bend up some sort of frame. The bracket that comes with it is strong, but fairly small.

1'' strap bent into a rectangle and into holes in the frame....
