Will the 80 Series body fit on a 62 frame?

I have a 85 62 and was wondering if the 80 or 100 series body will fit on my frame ?, and also if the engine from an 80 would seat without mod under the hood of the 62 ...?

you don't have a 85 62 (fj62 ist in usa in early 1988 model year). If you've got a good 80 body..find a good 80 drive train.

He could well have a 1985 FJ62, since that was the first year of the 3F engine. It would have round headlights. You're right, 1988 was the first USA model, but in the rest of the world the 3F was introduced 8/84.

I new that some 1988 fj62s had roll up windows here in the US but I did not think the 3F was "offically" here untill 88 and then it was the rectang headlights.

Yes, autos or H42 or H41 or H55. Depends on market.

Two answers:

First answer... No.

Second answer... With enough time, skill and money... Anything is possible.

You'll need a bunch of all three. And the result would be... unimpressive in thre extreme.

TLC 4x4 in Los Angeles did that rig. I saw it, and it is super cool. They also put the interior of the 80 inside as well. Kinda pricey though.

I have been looking for the link, but it looks like TLC 4x4 has sold that one, so it is no longer on their website. I will check some more to try and find it.
