Has anybody... (fellow TLC maniac)...ever tried using Standard Smittybuilt bucket seats in their Cruiser ?

If so would you recommend them ? They are relatively low priced.

I used them in a FJ45 Removable Top LBP. Price and the seat back thickness was the deciding factor.

That’s a tuff lookin’ rig if I ever saw one ! Are those seats the STANDARD ones ? I can pickup a pair of new ones for $200 plus tax on sale. They look great ! I noticed the tire wedge, are you up and running yet ? If so, are the seats durable/comfortable ? Are they Vinyl or cloth ?

Back thickness generous ?

The thickness of the seat back was fairly thin compared to other seats I looked at so that's why I used these. Not sure if they're "standard" or not. They are reclining type which was another reason I got these, although there's little room for that.

I finished the FJ45 in late 2015, then reluctantly decided to sell due to some major life changes. Maybe someday I'll be in a position to get another one. It sold to another Mud member and it's being well taken care of. There's a build thread here in the 45 section with lots of pictures and details. Search for "RB1"
