I noticed that the front spring bushings on my 83 FJ60 are in very bad shape, I am going to replace them anyway, will bad bushings can cause wheel shimmy? Also, How can I tell what size of bushings I need without removing the bad ones. My truck has OME suspension.

?You need OME bushings. Do you also have OME shackles?

MAF has a very complete chart of poly bushings that I have used before and thought they were good quality.

But yes, worn bushings is one of the major causes of shimmy and death wobble.

I don't know if the shackles are OME, they came with the cruiser.
