Will 98-02 body parts fit 03-07? Specifically can I swap a door?

Trying to be a nice friend I lent my pristine 04 LX470 to a buddy and he returned it with a big sideswipe scrape on the driver side rear door. It is about $2,600 worth of damage and my broke friend is trying to get out of paying.

I have the black with dark grey paint scheme and when looking for a replacement door I am finding a lot that say they are for the 98-2002 LX470s. I am pretty sure the body was unchanged during the 98-2007 run of this vehicle, so I believe that should work. Need confirmation though before I pull the trigger.

The door glass might be a different color, but can be swapped easily. Might be worthwhile to get on Lexus parts website and check the part numbers for door assembly for 1998-2002 to 2004.

The only thing I can think of that might be different is harness / wiring.... I've run into that when swapping doors on other toyota models.

Thanks for the reply. According to the Lexus parts website they are the same part. I am confused because everyone is advertising their salvaged parts as 98-02 instead of 98-07.

Maybe they are selling complete door with interior panel. I think 98-2002 had bronze glass, 2003+ changed to green tint.
