Will 82 60series LC rims fit on a 96 4runner and clear calipers?

I was just out shovelling some snow again,, gr$%#^&& got to thinking looking at the old grips on the spare 60 cruiser... will those rims bolt onto my 96 4runner?? Does anybody know?
thanks

Hi All:

I sorta doubt the Land Cruiser wheels will fit on your '96 4Runner - the backspacing is different.

Good luck!

Alan

if the runners got 15's as noted on the vin tag, then they should fit. i doubt 60 series wheel backspacing would be more than the runners which sit pretty deep into the wheel wells. if youve got both there...give it a shot n youll have your answer

Hi All:

The Land Cruiser 60 Series wheels have 3.5 inch back spacing. I believe the late model Tacoma and 4Runner wheels have deeper back spacing.

So, I suppose that means that the Land Cruiser rims might fit after all, just stick out more from the body than the original wheels.

Regards,

Alan

I finally gave it a try..nope cruiser rim hits the 4runner front caliper

So you do have the 13 inch calipers on your 4Runner? Many 4Runners that I have seen specify 15's on the door sticker but were optioned with the 16 inch wheels and larger calipers. 4Runner 96-02 and Tacoma 95.5-04 have 4.5 inch backspacing for wheels 15 and 16 inch.:) Too bad for the cruizer wheels not fitting.

well thanks..a little counselling and some meds and I ought to be ok in a while:D
