I have this pretty good vibration from my engine/transmission when the truck is idling in gear, aka when i put it in park or in neutral it stops and it just purrs along. Im thinking maybe worn out motor mount, maybe transmission mount? If anybody has had something like this how did you fix it, its kinda irritating (i think soundproofing and getting rid of friggin rattles is next on the list of things my truck is getting).

To check mounts, have someone stand on the brake and give the engine a bit of gas: You should be able to see the driver's side mount lift up under the load if it's bad. Sounds unlikely, though.

Your problem could also be a cylinder imbalance that is more pronounced at certain RPMs--when you shift into gear the RPMs may be dropping into the range that makes you notice the shake.
