wider wheels?

Hello guys,


I have an '92 LJ78 with 265-75-16 tires and original toyota 16x6 wheels.

I was wondering if I went with wider 16x8 wheels will the tires be a bit

taller than on the smaller size wheels? Also, will the 16 x8 wheels fit or would I

need further mods to make them fit?

The wider wheel won't make the tire taller. Wether wider rims fit or not depends on offset ie backspacing smaller than 3 1/2 IIRC.

If any thing, the overall height will be marginally lower due to the tires having to spread wider to fill the wheel.
