Why do they Pair the AntPak with the RedArc? (1 Viewer)

I'm looking at installing a lithium or two in my LC to power my fridge, and then recharge the lithium with the engine and a single 100w panel.

I see the Redarc by itself, and then also paired with the AntPak.

What is the advantage of pairing this AntPak with the RedArc?

Will the RedArc do all of this? What does the AntPak do, and when is that needed?

Is this where you found the photo?

The photo depicts an Redarc BCDC, but the description for the package in the picture denotes a Projecta IDC and an AntPak controller. I’m not familiar with Projecta or AntPak, but the Redarc by itself should be able charge by alternator and solar input. When using the two simultaneous, IIRC, the Redarc will prioritize solar input.
