I just ordered some parts to do some stuff - a brake booster valve to fix an occasional hard pedal, as shown here , and the union fitting & breather to do the breather mod.

Thanks to Travis at Ralph Hayes Toyota for the assist, BTW ! ( Mud Forum vendor )

At any rate, that's my extensive mod & repair list for the moment - anybody else got projects going on ?

This is on a '00 4Runner SR5 - looks like I need to update my sig. :whoops:

Am looking for a Can-Back canvas shell, they seem to be out of production. Don't want a hard shell for the Tacoma.

I have a set of highlander coils and shocks that I need to install on my 98 and then I plan to gather all the bits to do the timing belt, waterpump, valve cover gaskets, plugs, wires, etc. Basically a good tune-up and top end gasket set to help curtail some oil leakage.

That will be followed up by Trans cooler and possibly a new shorter MT radiator.

And that's just the short list for my 4Runner....

I am replacing my rear diff soon and doing a locker install or really a swap from diff to diff. I broke my r&p.

Ill be also wiring up my in cab winch controller and air switch. and mounting my compressor.

And gotta throw in a reverse light.

I'm done

I just finished my engine swap a few weeks ago. Here is proof.:D

I'm going to put my Bestop on this weekend, Dad's gift to himself, then a 3inch lift to get a little more ground clearance. Tires and wheels will come once I wear my old new tires out. Only 6000 mile on truck, Kevin.:bounce:

I just bought a 95 taco and I'm getting back up to snuff. Just changed the rear springs and shox last week

Changing the oil - 5.5 quarts Mobil 1 5w-30 extended performance, K&N Oil Filter - 151k miles, doesn't burn any noticeable oil between changes, original owner. Just keep changing the oil and not much else.

Going to run this rig until the wheels fall off...

Did the breather mod this past Saturday.

For something so simple, it was a PITA - being underneath, bent up, fighting w/ the hose, etc. etc.

I still do not have the end up by the filler cap tie strapped down - look at this link, 3rd pic and you can see a rubber boot around the fuel filler. This guy mentions undoing the 14 mm bolt that holds the fuel door release to get it out, but when I did that ( not all the way ) it sure looked like that release cable was going to fall into the rear quarter panel. I decided to heck w/ it - the breather will remain untied on top until such time as I have confidence that I can undo that nut all the way w/o that cable going buh bye !!

Next step is to get the PS rear axle seal done - as in have someone do it as I do not have shop connections w/ a press.

However, the up side is that I can get an unbiased look at the LBJ's as having one fail at speed would suck ...:crybaby:

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays , everybody ! :)

Just picked up my new taco a couple months ago. My main project is to drive the crap out of it to see what it really needs to be upgraded. Gonna try to do it slow and do it right the first time. But then again, patients is not one of my virtues :)
