I need a local FJ60 owner who's still using factory gauges to volunteer his rig as a test bed for the voltage regulator I'm designing. For anyone who hasn't seen it yet, the build thread is here. Basically I just want to make sure it'll work for 60s as well as 62s. If it works you can keep the test piece installed and I'll just give you one of the production models from the first run.

Any takers? :D

........

If someone's willing to volunteer, what we'd have to do is pull your instrument panel, disconnect the mechanical gauge regulator circuit and bolt my regulator on. Then you'd just drive your truck like normal and keep me updated on how well your gauges behave.

Come over to my place to do the install and I'll provide beer.

Yeah hopefully I can get someone with a 60. I know the design will work for a 62, but I still need a real world test to make sure it'll work in a 60. I'm surprised I haven't had at least a couple people willing to give it a shot.

I'd be down but I'm in the Seattle area

Ideally I'd like to find someone locally in case there's any hangup I'd be able to help them troubleshoot and find out the cause of any problem, but if you're familiar with pulling your dash apart and comfortable with dismantling and modifying your multi-gauge assembly, I'll take you up on that.

If I don't have anyone in the local area step up I'll ship it to you free & clear once I get the voltage on mine dialed in (since I'll set the 60 series one to the same voltage for comparison's sake). It'll have an adjustable output voltage (same as the completed one in my design thread in 60 Tech) so you'll be able to adjust it if need be to compensate for less or more resistance in the gauge circuits.
