White Trash Lexus got 37's - NEW PHOTOS!!

315/75R16 MTZ's on the stock rims, Hummer 36" bias ply on the loose wagon wheel, 37" Radial Hummers

Only have 2 on, but the other two are getting mounted right now, and will be on the truck tomorrow, if not tonight.

How do the 37" hummer tires that are mounted on the truck, drive and handle....

Top speed? Wheeling capability ect?

Local guy sells those dirty cheap, but the 16.5 I really don't like.

I am assuming 16.5" rim

They drive fine on the road

Yes, 16.5" rim. Don't konw how they drive and handle, like I said, only have two on.

Which ones of the three in the pic have you ran on the road?

The MTZ's, white rims, ran 36,000+ on the road, and were great on road, off road, and wore great, till I put a hole in the side of one of them, and a slash in antoher one.

The loose red rim - I picked up a set of 4 for $50 locally to get me by, and I shouldn't have. Mostly bald, and two of the 4 couldn't mount due to bent beads.

The 37 that is on the truck, $200 for 5 plus $100 shipping, 75% tread ( 14/32nds or so). I'll report back how they run after I get them on and run them down the road.

37's are perfect on an 80 - you will be shocked at the difference over 35's without any material effect onroad.

Post pics when you got 'em.

ok, here are some driveway shots. Finally got all 4 on tonight. I'll check for hits later. Probably get some road miles on this weekend, had the rears on for the week (front driveshaft out of course) not bad so far.

There's no safety bead on most if not all 16.5" rims right? So airing down is not possible unless you want to push your luck with a tire coming off. I think that is why the military hummer wheels are beadlocks. Just wondering...

some 16.5" rims have the safety bead - though it seems to be rare - don't quite understand why someone hasn't just made 16.5" rims available w/ the bead.

Beadlocks of some kind are in the future.

Redneck. :flipoff2:

Blue crocks are a nice touch though .. start 'em early! :D

After a fiasco of trying balancing bb's only to find out they were clumping due to grease used to mount the tires (never going back there!), I got the fronts balanced traditionally. I still have a little shimmy at around 40 indicated, but, I'm also in need of a front end rebuild, so I'm not freak'n out about it just yet.

We had a nice little blizzard here last week, so I got to try them out on snow and ice. Even with out any siping they did really really well. I have no complants. And at freeway speed they are actually quieter than my worn and chunked MTZ's. I'm sure they'll get louder with use.

Not to get off topic - but what type of spray liner did you put on the sides and was this the original color or has it faded? Asking as I'm thinking of doing this on my LX
