Which way do your military wrapped springs go??

Which direction do you run your military wrapped springs and why? I run mine to the fixed frame end but I see others have theirs to the shackle. What is the thinking behind it?? I tried google and most of what I found said fixed end.

MIlitary wraps are usually on the fixed end not the shackle end if not fitted a t both ends often 1/2 or 1/4 wraps are on the shackle end , if the main spring breaks the wrap will keep the spring eye sort of in place to get the vehicle out of a hostile situation. If fitted at the shackle end it will allow to much movement to continue driving as the shackle will still want to swing.
