I need some advice on which stud dent puller to buy.

I'm looking to spend about $200. Harbor Freight has one for $120 but I read a thread somewhere where someone bought one and it crapped out pretty quickly.

Does anyone have advice?

I bought the uni-spotter and haven't been able to kill it. In hundreds of studs I've only ever had one come loose. Broke a few and tore some right out of the sheet metal but the damn things really stick. Seems like money well spent even though it was a little more than your budget.

SPITZNAGEL is a good one. I own a body shop and it's worked great for the past six years. Dent Fix is also good. Don't know about Harbor Freight, might be fine for the home garage. You can purchase the weld on studs in different thickneses to adjust for how hard of a pull you need to make. Just hold the trigger a little longer with the heavier studs.

I bought the Harbor Freight one. Welds fine, studs are ok from them too. Only thing I don't like so far is the slide hammer - it has a cam lock to hold onto the studs and it takes some getting used to.

About 200 studs so far and no problems.
