Which is a better 4wd version the 03-04 sequoia or 05 version? (1 Viewer)

I know the 05 has the higher horsepower engine and 5spd tranny but was wondering about overall reliability and mods?

My 03 allows 2wd, AWD hi, AWD lo, 4WD hi, and 4WD lo.
Manual transfer hi/lo lever, left button on dash engages front diff, (AWD), right button on dash locks center diff to yield 4WD.
When backing a trailer, AWD lo is nice for crawl and traction without axle binding when steering tight.
05 and up does away with manual transfer lever, so some of the choices go away.

Our 2003 . Bought it new. Has been very reliable until last two weeks. The clock, radio, memory and power locks function was intermittant. You may have to use the key manually to get and then find clock time was back at 1:00 and radio presets gone due to memory power off. I found no corroded connections, battery tests fine. Today, starter does not work, just get the solenoid clicking sound. Battery voltage at 12.8.
I've ordered wiring diagrams, but not here yet.
Vsc lit up about 12 months ago. $1200 later, all is well. Uses no oil, no leaks except the AC pressure switch has some oily goo around it, an indication of an AC leak. 1/2 can of R134a brought sight glass back to clear with no bubbles
