Sorry for the dumb question but we purchased a 2007 LC recently that has OEM Nav and for the life of me I can't find a definitive answer online as to what generation the nav units are in the 2007 LC's. It's apparent that the 2004-2006 vehicles used the Gen 4 units but not clear as to what units came in the 2007 trucks.

I have a v6.1 disc but would like to upgrade to a v14.1, just not sure which one to order, Gen 4 or 5? Most of the sites selling the discs list the Land Cruiser 2004-2006 Gen 4 and then 2008-2011 Gen 5, skipping 2007. What gives???

Any help is much appreciated!

The label on the current nav DVD that I just bought and installed in my '04 says that it covers model years '04-'07. The part number is 86271-GEN04-14. Updated DVDs are available each year at the end of October.

I pulled my disc last night and the part number is 86271-33046, no mention of "GEN04". I'm 99.9% sure from research on other boards that the units in the 2007s are considered 5th Gen and as such use a 5th Gen disc.

I'm shocked that with all the wealth of knowledge on this board no one knows for sure???

Googling "buy land cruiser navigation dvd" the first hit is toyotapart.com with this matrix.

Thanks for the help although I ordered a 5th Gen disc so I guess that was a waste of $45.

The $45 disk is likely not going to be Toyota OEM. Though I'm sure there are some copied disks that work, I also know it's possible it won't. I would note too that everyone who answered said Gen 4 and listed a good source for the info. What were you shocked about and why did you think those on the board didn't know?
