HI all, been lurking for a while, learning a few ins and outs of the 100. Finally time to make a purchase and I have my eye on two specific cruisers. Looking to see if any of you pros can point me in the right direction.
Both Cruisers are the dark metallic grey and are bone stock.

2001: 148,000 mi. In good shape, no accidents but small dent in the right rear. Exterior 7 of 10. Interior is also about a 7 out of 10 . Timing belt unknown. New bfg a/ts on stock wheels. Minor rust underneath. No service records. 10,000 firm.

2003: 165,000. In great exterior shape 9/10. Interior about a 8.5/10. Timing belt at 125,000. No accidents. Zero rust. Underbody is very clean. Underhood is very clean. Good history of service records. Needs tires badly. 15,500 firm.

I know the differences between the years and am not a fan of the Navigation. Other than that, I prefer the interior of the 2003+.

Thanks for any advice!

I'm a huge fan of service histoy, especially on 10+ year old vehicles with ~150,000 miles. Go for the '03 and pick out new tires perfect for you.

If you have to choose between those two, I'd go with the 2003. Has the power steering rack and CV boots been done on either? Potential costly items.

No rust, service history, no accidents, very clean exterior and interior - Go with the 2003.

Depends on what 5 grand means to you. May make that difference up quick in PM on the '01, but you never know. I went way over on my budget to get our '06 for various reasons. I vote '03.

2003. This was a very easy which-one thread.
