Where's the voltage regulator? (1 Viewer)

Where is the external voltage regulator on a 1985 FJ-60? I can't seem to find it. Is there anyway to test it? I'm having charging problems...

Why not elimate it and install a cs130 gm alternator. It will give you at least 100 amps of power, depending on what year you get. There's a thread on this site about wiring it up.

85 FJ60 has the voltage regulator on top of the alternator. It is the square block that is on top of the alternator.
