Well the 1985 and earlier trucks have the straight axel in the front. The 86's and up are IFS. So if u want to be locked in the front the SA is the way to go but u can get other trucks that are ifs and swap a SA in.

Now that's the pickups and 4 runners.. The cruisers are different I know the 80 series and before are SA and sum are locked already but are kinda bulky. Depends on what u wanting to do with the rig ?!?

Edit: All the Toyota trucks/4runner's and Land Cruisers are good choices !!

Welcome :flipoff2:

But your post is too vague. Need more info on what you want to do with it. If you just want to keep up with your buddies' jeeps on the weekend, pretty much any 4x4 80s or 90s truck or 4runner will do it. Or an FJ40. Cruise around sites like this and see what you like and what would fit your style.

How much? How much can you afford? Keep in mind owning, operating, maintaining, upgrading, and fixing your junk all cost money. The most important thing is to buy a truck that's been well maintained (preferably with records) and steer away from rust.

I love this hobby and i bet you will too. Let us know how it turns out! :steer:
