well i pulled the radiator out of the parts truck and want to have it cleaned/rodded to have ready as a spare. or i may sell it since it is the more desirable copper core model.

I went to lestors automotive off ih10 boerne after calling and asking if they could service it. When i get there the guy argues its an aluminum with no way in hell it could be copper then says he cant serivice it because the tabs would take a whole week to get. Then says "honestly" i would be better off to buy a new one when can get them at great prices :rolleyes::rolleyes: :ban:

So where is a good REPUTABLE rad shop?

Falcon Radiator , off of I 35 on the NE side by Rittiman. Good people , fast work. I have had several radiators and two gas tanks repaired by them. reasonable too. imho

GL

thanks, ill check them out. Is there anything special instructions i need for them to do, never had a rad serviced before.

I've done a lot of business with Lone Star on Basse and have no complaints.

I just checked and my cost for a metal radiator for a '94 is $282.10. I'd have to charge you 3% so your final cost would be $290 plus tax. That may or may not be a good. We don't get the largest discount on Toyota stuff so I have no comparison.

thanks brett but im not looking for a new one, just want to get the extra i have in tip top condition. i think i will try lone star, when i called they seemed the most familiar and friendly.

I used Lonestar, no compliants other then green antifreeze. Which I replaced when I got my HG fixed shortly after. (HG was blown before I replaced the radiator)

Not trying to hijack but is there anyone that can do a cooling system flush and swap out a PHH on an FZJ80? Ive got red coolant to go back in the truck and a new hose, but alot of my tools got left in Mobile due to lack of space in the truck.

Would Lonestar be a good shop?

no they are a radiator shop. dealers alternative on bitters seems to know our rigs pretty well, or if i dont have much going on we can do it here at my place. when you coming to sa?
