Hi guys dose anyone know where i can buy the frame rivets have spent the last few hours hunting the Internet to no avail any help would be greatly appreciated

No im not but as im in Australia and have to get the vehicle registered i can not just replace them with bolts has to be rivets to keep it legal i have a friend that has done it before so can get plenty of help just need to get the rivets (replacing a front cross member in my fj40 ground up restoration )

There was a guy in the 45 section that used carriage bolts to get the look.
His thread is in the 45 sticky section.

Start about 1/2 way down the page.

3 days and 3300 miles later

Be careful not to get too involved in the thread. You'll be stuck there for days.

Thanks mate

Good Luck if you decide to give it a go..........it's not hard with the right tools and materials

While it may give the look I would shy away from carriage bolts.....grade 5 hardware is not something I would use on a frame.Especially if you plan on using the truck off the pavement. Not sure about Australia but the majority of the hardware in the US is imported from China.I would trust wooden pegs in my frame before I would trust Chinese bolts of low strength and quality.:D

As i said to remain legal i must have the rivets and i would prefer them because its definitely something that is going to less pavement
