Back on topic, without knowing import restrictions to the US (besides the 25 year rule), you could get a brand new one here in Colombia. Gassers for the most part, sorry.... but lots of 70's rolling around.

No. Colombia has its own Toyota manufacturing plant. Same with Venezuela. If FTAA would ever pass, vehicles made at those two facilities would be tariff exempt.

Mine's Japanese... but they are mostly assembled here. In general the older models (thru 95) were imported... as far as i can tell. Ive seen a ton of japan built 70's. it might be worth having a look...

Do you happen to know if there are any restrictions on exporting vehicles from Colombia to the U.S.? For instances, I believe Brazil has a 3-year ownership before a vehicle can be exported.

I am currently helping another MUD member out in order to export a 40 series cruiser to the US. I have already contacted a few cargo agencies that do that, and am waiting to hear from them. As soon as i figure something out, ill let u know.
