I thought I heard a rumor of some people talking about a Colorado trip over the summer. Possibly moving the Chicago Jambo there..........

However, I am serious about going out to CO over the summer to do a little camping and white water rafting towards the end of June. I THOUGHT others would be interested in CO wheeling trip and I was going to drive the 3rd gen out, but I thought wrong apparently.

did someone mention colorado? great place to try might be the Marble area. Killer round trip through the mountains. Great hike to hidden lake with huge trout. Camping on a river full of trout. Incredible views. Nothing hardcore, just beautiful.

as for the broke part... stand in line for the winner there... but a trip out west might be worth saving for.

There is a local cruiser dude in Aspen that would be able to offer up some advice possibly.

Doesnt look like there is going to be any type of wheeling trip to CO.

I plan on going at the end of June when the rapids are still going but not to early where sections of river are still closed off.

IF people where interested in a wheeling trip and I see that it is a BIG IF, I see that the Buena Vista area has alot of options for wheeling such as easy, moderate, hardcore trails and free camping. Down side to this trip would be that large campfires MIGHT not be allowed. If you dont recall, CO has had some issues with forest fires. Another would be possible altitude sickness for some people new to the elevation. I would plan on camping as much as possible. I dont think you would be able to get any better condition for camping in the summer than the Rockies. Depending on time, cap of the trip at a nice hotel up in Estes Park for one night and chat with Mr. Grady at the bar.
