Bought a GX at a discount price, hood has hail damage and deep scratches. I've spoken to body shops who will spray a new hood for 1700 total, but they say it won't match perfectly, as the new paint will be a different shade. I'm looking for a used, BLACK hood in excellent condition. In the months I've been looking, I've come across a few, but they would need repainting.
I've found one on ebay right now, but the seller will not ship and it's across the country (I'm in L.A., they're in NJ). I'm seriously considering posting to craigslist in NJ , paying someone to pick it up, pack it and ship it, but that seems like a lot and who knows what will happen in transport. I've called around to junk yards in los angeles, no luck. Any advice here? Black hood for a 2014 gx460.
