Was traded by the original owner ...1996 ..Locked 175K paid $3500..with complete service history. I'm in sales at Lindsay Lexus in
Alexandria Va
I have purchased two other 80's that were traded but sold both.. The pre-owned manager will not hang on to old Land Cruiser's...feels he'd have to throw a lot's of cash to get them in shape to sell for very little profit..
So many people are looking for the perfect truck.. they don't exist!!
I still feel like I got a geat deal on mine and it was far from perfect... not counting mod's .. I have spent
about $3800 ... PM issues , brakes, and Oil Leaks ..Don't get me started on the cash for all the mod's
Good Luck in your search..

Mine came from Craigslist - but I didn't pay a lot less than anybody. LOL

Found my lx on craigslist too

I bought from a salvage auction. Bought only looking at pictures with a guarantee that it ran and drove. Which I think the definition of drove is can move forward a foot and can move backwards a foot. Got a great price but took a gamble with the unknown issues that may exist. Restored salvage title with 64,000 actual miles, locked for $3200 with auction fees and tow charges. Not a bad way to go if you aren't worried about salvaged title. It doesn't take much any more for insurance to total these things...

My heep had to go to the shop, so my new wife let me use her cruiser for a day that turned into heep days. she went out and bought an oldsmobile 'cause she said her truck smelled like my tools. My daily driver for 15 years so far...

so, a couple wrenches with 'ode of burnt 90w

Craigslist. I almost passed it over cause there was no pic in the add. Glad I took the extra step. It was a good deal on a super clean cruiser.

Inherited mine. Father-in-law had it sitting around for about a year after he gave his old LX470 to my youngest brother-in-law. I had totaled my blazer, so while I was deployed to Iraq he gave it to my wife so we would have 2 vehicles.

Bought mine from a friend at church for $3K / 164K miles (and, he's still a good friend). Needed a lot of work and have sunk about $3K into it. Only discovered this forum after I bought the Cruiser.
