Found her on craiglist Kansas city where there are still deals to be had. I was a little concerned about the mileage til I found Ih8mud but the more I drive her the more I like her, and the better I feel about throwing cash at the most enjoyable ride I've ever had:)

Craigslist for all 3

Well I bought a perfect clean straight (minus engine) 62 from a friend of a friend for 1000. Installed an engine and drove it for a while but it was too pretty for what I wanted. Traded it for for 2 80s.

Traded my rover for my 80, guy was selling it on Craigslist.

Sent from this fast HTC thing using IH8MUD

Found mine in the Tulsa World (newspaper). PO had no idea what the little dial switch was to the left of the steering wheel.
That was before craigslist existed.

Ebay. It was better and cheaper than anything local, even after a 900 mile drive home.

I found mine sitting on a street corner with a for sale sign in the windshield. 92 with about 220k on it, straight body, decent interior, no brakes, no radio, bald tires and ran rough. I gave $2500.00 for it. I've probably put twice that in it, but I'm not really counting. I'm a gear head and wrenching is half the fun.

Found my first one in my neighbor's back yard where it had been sitting for 5 years. Found my second one on Craigslist about 30 miles from my house. No idea where I'm going to find the 3rd one! LOL

Bought mine from a friend that was the 2nd owner, '97 collectors edition, lockers, very good condition, but leaking rear main, picked it up for $3500 and thought that was a heck of a deal, 6000 miles later, still leaking, but drives awesome & I plan on driving it forever:)

First one (66 FJ45 ) my dad gave it to me. Second one (84 FJ60) traded for the FJ45 to my dad (I will get it back one day). Third one (94 FZJ80) craigslist. Locked with 260k mi. He wanted $300 I got it for $2400 but it needs a whole host of maint items but I am a mechanic and I will know it's done right.

Found mine sitting on a street corner with a For Sale sign in the window as well. Knew what I was looking at due to my mother having owned one for awhile. It had the magic dial and a BAD case of the birf soup oozing out the DS inner knuckle. Talked him down from $4500 to $4100. Lots of maintenance items and mods later, she's about to hit 255K and still going strong.

Found mine on Ebay 700 miles south of the border at 10 am and i was already on a road by 11 am. I didnt pay the best price, but it had 135k, magic switch and cloth seats.
