Saturday-June 4: The rocky gap and lovell canyon road. A short trip through the southern end of the spring mountains with a picnic at the old camp ground. Solitude was the defining character, as I didn’t encounter any other travelers on the way.

That’s a nice spot Mike. I went up there thru Red Rock scenic route as well few months ago. The outdoors is calling me again
The rock garden from what I heard is 7/10 rating and sliders recommended. I didn’t reached that far when I went up there. I saw a lot of camp spots in this area that can accommodate about 5-6 vehicles. Good option if the group decides to go up here.To the coffee and cruisers event Sunday morning. I went through rocky gap late in 2019 by myself. I didn't have my rock sliders at the time and it wasn't that bad. I've heard that it changes a lot up there though. Sometimes it is a breeze and other times it beats your truck to a pulp. Here's some pics from my run:
