Here are a couple of pictures of Pathfinder that made a couple of wrong turns and should have stopped long before it did.

wow  maybe you should have titled the thread "common sense aint so common". that person was very lucky

It's just out side of the gost town of Windfield which is 14 miles West of Clear Creek resevoir. The guy was supposed to meet someone at the Huron trail head to hike to the peak. The trail he needed to be on is at the bottom of the valley. The only thing holding the Pathfinder to the side of the hill is the friction of the sheet metal on the rocks. It's not against the trees! I would expect it to be much further down the slope by spring if its not recovered before the snow falls. The story as I heard is that the guy called the tow companies in Buena Vista and Leadville and they all told him they would not attempt to recover it. With the exception of the road the entire area is wilderness.

Holy crap! Where would you even start to try to recover that?
Looks like they crawled out through the sunroof.

A perfect commercial opportunity!
something like -

New Pathfinder = $30k

weekend in the mountains = $400

new under for the family = $50

Learning when to STOP! = Priceless!!!!

WoW..

That is just nutts!

x2 on the road barely big enough for the atv.
Looks like nothin but shale all around. How the heck far in did the guy go from the main road?

Indeed fortunate no one was hurt.... or pinned down.
