Yesterday, i was at Hidden Falls (Marble Falls Tx) to check out 4 Wheel Parts' event.
Boy there was a BUNCH of Jeeps... say 95% were Jeeps, the rest were everyone else.
Anyways, it was great and the main reason I went was to try out my new Deaver-10 suspension pack.
It worked great.
There were two roll overs.
One Jeep (he was in my group) and one Ranger (that is what I was told).
No one was hurt in the Jeep rollover.
But the EMS was called for the Ranger rollover.
THe weather was FANTASTIC!!!
Enough typing, here are the pics.
Drivers meeting.
Rolling rolling rolling.
Still rolling...
This was rated at 2-3....before the rain.
Weather was great! Sun shinning, breeze, and the temp was bearable.
Breaking for lunch.
Great view
Over hill over dale we go....
The flop... and not by the owner John in the red hat.
No one was hurt, other than the driver's pride.
The following is what I was told by the owner of the Red Jeep.
The owner John, was letting a son of one of the group leaders to drive his jeep.
Apparently the kid has been wheeling for quite a while... but not sure how experience he was with a clutch.
From what John told me.
They were heading uphill, towards the peak.
There was a 12 inch ledge that you need to get over, before the downward decent.
The kid was not getting enough skinny pedal to get over.
So, John told him to back up a little.
Well, the kid apparently forgot that the clutch when depressed, disengages the gears.
They started rolling backwards faster.
The kid panic and kept the clutch engaged.
He then turned and the Jeep started to roll.
John said it rolled about 1.5 times.
The windshield was spidered all over.
When he returned to camp, he removed the window.
upsy-daisy...
4WP dinner and raffle... the pavilion was packed!!!!
I won this set of Pro Comp lights during the raffle.
Going to be used on my bed bar.
