Thanks...those were just a few pics I happened to have on my Photobucket account. Steve at Sonoran does have a few pictures of my truck on his site in the lift section. He was a big influence in the way the 4Runner turned out and did a lot of the fab work on it.

I never did get around to doing a write-up on the mods. My 4Runner has morphed so many times over the years that I'm not sure if I could make one now. I'm very happy where it's at now.

Wow!! Wally that is one "old school" Warn. Is it a 8274?

Its a Belleview 8000, forerunner to the Warn. I got off of my parents 1972 FJ-40 Landcruiser. It was all mechanically controlled winch, I wired it for solenoids, put it on a reciever hitch. It only powers in, the motor was in great shape, so I left it as is. The clutch arm was broken in two, so I TIG welded it back togather, cleaned up the aluminum case. I put some 3/8" Amsteel rope on it to reduce the weight, LOL on a reciever hitch, it still weighs in a bit over 90lbs.

It was a fun project and its been a great winch.
