There is a 4 Runner for sale down the road from me. I'm not looking but thought i would pass it on if anybody wants a pic I can get one, or more info. It is a '90 has 240K miles, asking $1400. Has a little rust bottom of the doors and wheel wells. I figured the miles might be a little scary but just in case.
$1400 aint bad. $1100 is better. Assuming it has the 3.0/auto. If its a 22re then its a deal. The 3.0 will run a long time with little maint, but the HG is like playing russian roulette, but the 90 MAY not have a HG issue. 1990 was the year the US changed some HG regs, and if the runner is a 90 it was likely built in 89.....
I talked to the owner. He would take $1,000. It is a 3.0. His words, drives good, 4x4 works, AC works, power windows etc work. He started it for me, has oil leaks, could see oil on the exhaust. He claims he has the gaskets and seals to fix the leaks. Tires are just so so. He said he added a qt of oil a month when it was his DD. Other than the usual wear in the left side of the drivers seat the interior leaked decent. i took a pic, see if I can get it from my phone.
