In the mornings when the vehicle is cold I can hear a clanking sound when I put it in reverse. It stops after the vehicle is warmed up and only does this in the mornings. Sounds like it is coming from the undercarriage, around the front or middle.
So far I checked the cats, but they seem to be ok.

In addition, this might be part of the same issue, but not sure. When I'm driving around with my window down I hear a clanking noise when I hit smaller bumps or crevices in the road. It does not happen with large bumps. Sounds like the metal clank when a truck is pulling a trailer. I tried Appling the breaks over the bumps but it still clanks....This sound seems to also be coming from the same area...

Anyone experience anything like this?

Could this be bad bushings maybe or lower ball joints?

Thanks, I had the heat shields on the exhaust manifolds replaced along with the manifolds. I'm thinking they should be tight.

One of my heat shields on my cats has a rusted off bolt but when I hit them with a mallet I can't reproduce the sound.

Any other heat shields I should check?
