eBay What's it worth???

This 40 isn't that far from me. I'm pretty new to 40's and was wondering if someone with a little more knowledge/insight could tell me what they think it's worth. I know it's probably difficult, but let's assume it's as advertised and it drives great, etc.

Clean truck, but you will have to like drum brakes, a 3-speed, and no power or A/C.

the seller will prolly be taking a hit,,, he musta sunk some cheddar into that rig, but only gettin a third outta it. e'rbody wants the '75 and newer. did i miss,,, was the engine rebuilt? any smoking issues?

I'd put 4k on it, (cuz it runs n it's my birthyear n that's almost what I can afford). Driving it back from VA would be an adventure best done in the spring.

It'll go for 8k ish....

That is a beautiful 40. It is an old one and so it has several drawbacks as far as creature-comforts and practicality compared to post 75 models, but whoever buys it won't care about that. I think it is pretty much a collector piece that will not see the road too much. For someone who is in the market for a 40 of that type, I think it is worth at least $15k. I mean, it is a very fresh body off resto. The whole thing is perfect and 99% original. It will probably take it a while to sell, because if that guy just finished the restoration, I guarantee you he isnt going to let it go for cheap.

The other guys that posted their opinions on it obviously didnt read any of it. IT IS A COMPLETE AND FRESH BODY-OFF RESTORATION. Take a close look, that thing is perfect.

The only problem is it needs a new more fj40 less jeep soft top. Other then that it is awsome. I would bet the reserve is over 10k.
