There is a guy who lives close to me that has a 1985 FJ60. The motor tranny and T/C have been pulled as well as some of the interior. It has good body panels with only a small amount of rust under the back doors all god windows and good axles and springs and wheels. He is asking $350 for it and i was thinking about getting it and parting it out but i dont really have time or a good place for it while i took it apart. Is this a deal that i should not pass on or should i just not worry about it. I have only really dealt with FJ40's in the past and dont know much about value of parts on the 60's

I think you answered you question when you said you don't have time and space. It takes a lot of time to take apart and package parts to mail them. It is only a good deal for someone that has the time to take it apart and sell the parts.

Like NORCALFJ60 said.......... You answered your own question! it takes a lot of time and space to do a tear down.
Oh and by the way the parts are worth $$$$

If the rust really is minor, hauling it north as-is would probably make you some cash. Maybe someone could flat tow it with a Volkswagen diesel, bivouac in rest stops and eat Spamwiches for a week. You'd end up in beer money for at least a weekend.

I happen to know four guys looking for good 60 series bodies.

Well if anyone is interested and lives in the western KY area i can get them in touch with the guy and if they dont want to pay the full price i can make a deal with them and me keep the axles.
