hey guys-what will happen if i leave the return spring on my slave cylinder off? what is going on is the clutch works well if the spring is left off. i took it apart and cleaned it, bled it, you name it i did it. the slave stays pressurized as long as i don't push the plunger all the way to the back. if i leave the spring off it disengages and works fine. what could happen if anything?

some 60's don't even have a spring, and lots have been left off over the years, what happens I don't know or why some 60's NEVER had one I don't know.

me I would want to know whats going on.........and I don't ;)
