So I was changing out a fuse (I added an add-a-circuit a while ago but then decided to wire differently and couldn't find the factory 7.5A fuse) and noticed that Toyota uses a new fuse type!

It's called a "low-profile mini"

In my book, there are MAXI, ATO, and MINI for automotive fuses. Why reinvent the wheel with a new "low-profile" version???

PepBoys nor Checker carry them. Any one know where I can get them without paying $8 for 5?

Arrggghhh......

Just an FYI: I would have some of these suckers on hand, just in case....

good advice.....where did you get some?

I called my Toyota dealership and they wanted $2 ea. for them. Before heading down there I called my Lexus dealership (which is closer) and he said I can have one for free, so I went there instead.

It was for the 7.5 amp ACC fuse. But now I blew my 110v outlet fuse. Be careful with that thing. It's rated at 100 watts, but I doubt it. I was running a 60 watt portable ice chopper and it blew. Gotta figure out which fuse that is. I haven't bothered looking yet.

Great, and I thought the 2nd version of the fuse was tiny...

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but are 2011+ toyota's still using the Mini Low profile fuses?

Also would the non low profile Mini Fuse add-a-circuit tap work?

Just to update my own question for future reference since i figured it out

Toyota Prado 150 series uses Mini fuses where all LC200 use Mini Low Profile fuses. I went over to the junkyard and got a whole bunch of them (approx 30 pieces) for like $10.
