I think my Dual rate rear Icon Vehicle Dynamic coils have become single rate since adding my Dissent rear bumper with dual swing outs and a full size 35 last summer. I did add 30 MM spacers above my Icon's after that. I got the height back that I lost, but now I am thinking I would like to just replace the coils all together with some heavies. What's the best option out there? I do have a drawer and fridge setup I throw in for trips with other gear, but typically the rear is empty. Will the Ironman 880lbs be too stiff? I appricate the feedback.

I have the IM 880s with a kaymar and 40gal LRA and drawers. I'm already planning to go a heavier rate since I do tow. If your not towing I believe they are a perfect spring rate for that set up. Very stable but not jarring

What are you considering? I tow, and have a steel rear with dual swings, fridge, and full cargo setup. Currently on Ironman

How's the ride with the current springs? Nothing wrong with spacers as they are the right solution to dial in ride height (free length). Spring rate should be used to dial in ride for load rather than ride height. That's unless you're putting that much more load in and you find the spring rate inadequate? You can try increasing compression damping to a degree to help increase stability and control for load. For off-roading, softer spring rates can be an advantage and articulation.

I'm switching my trailer to the cruisemaster DO35 V3 which for on road use is compatible with Reese weight distribution hitch system. This is most likely the best answer for me. I still may go to a heavier rear spring to account for dogs and kiddos. Without them it's about perfect

current ride is not too bad, but there is room for improvement. My bilstein 6112/5160 setup was perfect before I had full armor, however it's feeling a little soft for my liking now days. It may just be time to upgrade to some adjustable kings or something like that along with heavier rear coils....

Can you send a link to that 30mm spacer? I can't find it

Mine were Ironman 100 series rear coils spacers and I had to modify them to fit the larger diameter 200 coils. It works, but was a real PITA.

I currently have standard duty 240#/in Tough dog rear coils. One drawer, no bumper (yet). They ride great when the dog or a kid is in the 3rd row... pretty good when otherwise empty and they are OK but require airbags when I'm towing. If I was doing my setup again I'd purchase the OME progressive (270/340#/in) coils.

Like you I'm trying to decide what to replace mine with as I add a rear bumper with tire swingout. Bumpers run about 200#, plus the leverage from hanging a 90# tire/wheel off the rear. And then sometimes the jerry cans will be full too. No fridge and still just one drawer, but when I'm towing with kids and cargo I expect my weight profile to be similar (before adding the trailer).

Are there heavier progressive spring options out there? OME 2723 is probably the right spring given the constant weight (440# constant load) and then use trim packers to add a bit of extra height if you want it. 2724 is much higher constant load (880#) and would likely make the ride jarring if you're not carrying a vehicle full of gear. I would assume Icon 880# coils would be similarly unpleasant.

Found out the Ironman Extra Heavy Rear coil rate (TOY064D) is 456lb/in!
I believe the OME 2725 is pretty much the same (440#/in)

I was about to pull the trigger on some 2725, however yikes! I was surprised by the $400 price for the pair. I am not a fan of the green, but I might have to go with the Ironman heavies @ almost half the cost. Decisions....
