So another update: Ended up being a bad fuse. The main fusebox (under hood) has a 30A relay/fuse that appeared not burned/broken at all... So strange. I "switched" it with the headlight washer fuse which is identical at 30A, and I started feeling the mirrors heat up (as well as rear defrost). Who uses those headlight washers anyway lol
Anyway I will end up replacing with a new one eventually, but for now, I have working defrost/mirror heat, which is a safety item/big deal where we live here in Southern BC/Canada.
And to confirm again to those that said "read the manual" - there's nothing in there at all about the mirror switch needing to be in the centre position. The dealer laughed when they heard that lol, someone here probably thought it might be a nice joke to play on the rest of us
