What kind of fastener is this? 2005 Echo Flywheel

Must admit, I was a bit surprised to see this on a Toyota, but is it just a 12-point socket is all that is needed to remove these bolts or is there an SST?

Looks like a 12 point. I have some female versions of that on my VW. They call it a 3-square and I have some bits that look sort of Torkish but have 12 points..

Have you tried a 12 point socket on it?

Not yet, don't have one in that size, but will shortly. I'm pretty sure it's a 12-point but thought I would ask.
