What is this?

Anyone know what this is or does? Should it be open like this or connected to something? It's in a 1986 13bt at one of the banjo fitting on the injector pump.

Thanks for the bump...

I looked the other day at my 13BT, and then forgot to post: It is a plug. The one on the left that is part of the same banjo fitting has a return line, and that one you have circled is solid.

I can't tell in the pic but usually those are stops so the fitting doesn't turn when you tighen it down so it keeps the hose in it's proper place... No?
