All,

I bought a 62 today but being unfamiliar with them I thought I'd seek out estimates as to what I should have paid.

Heres what I got:

Pics

89 62 - 130k
2 owner- stock down to the owner manual and tools
pw/pl/pm etc
rear wiper
cold ac
rip in drivers seat
rust beginning to bubble through in normal places
slow rear main leak
the mystery steering clunk

Also anyone know the name of this paint code?

How many miles? I'm going to guess anywhere from 2-6k depending on where you live. And since you're in Ohio, probably closer to 3k. (They seem to cost a bit more out West).

Is there rust on the rear passanger side door bottom? Looks kinda like mine did. then went to start working on it and it was worse than I thought. Depending on how bad the rust is and mileage I would say $3k? Just depends, Rust is yor worst enemy as I well know :(

Champagne, baby!

Dunno about a good price. Mine had 196K, has a few extras (see sig), NO RUST, I paid $7800.

Who cares what you should have paid, it's yours now, start saving for mods...

Looks like a great truck and "low" mileage. I imagine in my area (NorCal) that would sell for $4-6K even with the rust if it isn't too bad.

Mine had fadded paint, a bad throwout bearing, and 102K miles and was purchased for $3200 3 years ago. Tear in the drivers seat and needed the T/O bearing and battery replaced. Other than that it runs like a champ!

Replaced the entire suspension and added some bigger meats.... really dig the truck now.... in for paint (rust surgery also) right now. I'll post pics in 3 weeks when it is completed. Stock rootbeer brown with a touch of pearl is the choice.

Trying to put my mind at ease that my cruiser obsession didnt impaiir my judgement in purchasing this. But for 3700 bucks its seems that im right on the $$ or maybe a 2-300 over what a great deal would have been. Seems I got a fair deal and now Im free to rationalize building her up a bit. Dont tell anyone in the 40's sectiion but I think I rather have 2 of these than one of each. May actually sell the 40 and let the wife keep her :princess: 30mpg Civic. :D

Got my 89 FJ 62 with 223K on the bay for $2200 (He was asking $4850 on the window sticker, a bit ambitous I think...).

Any mods, or bone stock?

Man I would like to be on the beach right now. This warm November weather is killin' me...

While we are on the subject I have been wondering the same thing about my recent purchase. I paid $3300 for an 85 with 193k miles, no rust at all a few spots of faded paint with $3000 worths of new parts in the last year. I know it does not matter, but just to ease my mind.
