What is the parking situation like at the Tahoe staging area?

This year I am thinking of leaving my towtruck (F250 pickup)a t the staging area in Tahoma. I will be there mid day on Thursday, I am concerened about parking. Any idea if the lot fills up? If so can you park of to the side of the road?

its not a very big area, I expect for an event like rubithon the staging area will be hectic, not sure what is and is not okay in terms of creative parking

Fills up about 1/2 way by wed. night. I get there wed. afternoon and usually have to kinda find the best spot left. My friends usually roll in there late wed. night and say that by thurs am it is pretty well gettin full. I would go for it.

If the lot fills, you can drive back towards tahoma, and park in the "turn outs" on the road...

There have been years where Bears have broken into rigs that had food in them (think half bag of chips, in/out fires, etc). Make sure you remove any trace of food. I know other guys that sprinkle pepper on their door jambs, to deter bears.

Hey Randy,

Glad you got more info on this. See you Friday evening at the springs.
